My works One Swimming Pool and Recounted will be on view in the exhibition For One Solid Time, Wet: The Swimming Pool in the Imagination at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Le Locle, Switzerland.

The exhibition explores the swimming pool as a significant motif within the history of contemporary art. It unites international artists who have explored the complexity of the pool, using it as a symbol of both prosperity and catastrophe, joy and solitude: a metaphor for our search for order and serenity in the face of an increasingly uncertain future. Because of the beautiful space and the efforts of the staff, One Swimming Pool will finally be shown again on the floor. So that is really special for this ephemeral work. The bound book will also be on view thanks to a generous collector. In another room of the exhibition Recounted. After Edward Ruscha (1968) is shown as a specially created series of ten 47 x 42 cm prints.

The exhibition is co-curated by Federica Chiocchetti, former MBAL director, writer and curator based in Paris, and Lou Stoppard, writer and curator based in London.

The featured artists include Judith Albert, Nazgol Ansarinia, Rossella Biscotti, Andrew Cranston, Blaise Drummond, Ellie Epp, Elmgreen & Dragset, Kate Gottgens, Alexander Hahn, David Hockney, Marie-Caroline Hominal, Alain Jacquet, Hilary Lloyd, Jean-Luc Manz, Daina Mattis, Alexandra Maurer, Ian Mwesiga, Antonio Oba, Michael Raedecker, Anastasia Samoylova, Denis Savary, Leanne Shapton, Mary Stephenson, Larry Sultan, Elisabeth Tonnard, Levi van Veluw, Eva Vermandel, Bill Viola, Caroline Walker and Pipilotti Rist.

A section of the exhibition is dedicated to artists’ books, featuring works by Ed Ruscha, Roni Horn, Diego Abellán & Joaquín Lucas, and Tanja Lažetić.

The exhibition runs from October 3 until February 21, 2027. The opening reception is on October 2nd.
